Developing a global outlook is one of the important elements of the NDPS mission. Through internationalism, the school seeks to inculcate in students the values of global citizenship, care for the planet, universal peace and harmony, and to regard humanity as one.
The goal is to prepare them as worthy world citizens capable of facing the challenges of tomorrow.
Students participate in Model United Nations Programs, which give them the opportunity to experience through simulation the diplomatic working of the United Nations, as representatives of various nations. The school also hosted the IIMUN conference attended 700 delegated from leading schools in Central India, in December 2016.
NDPS has been affiliated with the AFS International Student Exchange Program for several years. The program facilitates short and long term inter cultural student exchange programs for the specified age group. The school notifies students of inter cultural exchanges offered by AFS every year, and they are welcome to apply
The school is a National License Operator (NLO) of the IAYP since the year 2014. This authorizes the school to a certified YES (Youth Engaging Society) and to register students for the Bronze, Silver and Gold awards of IAYP. The stringent requirements of the award requires students to learn a new skill, engage in social service, and do an adventurous activity for the minimum number of hours as prescribed for each level. Winners of the prestigious awards are usually given extra credits for admission to reputed universities
The school is the winner of the prestigious International Schools Award (valid for 2016 to 2019), for effectively integrating internationalism in the school curriculum and collaborating with schools abroad. This award is given by the British Council to select schools in India and abroad who meet their stringent criteria for selection.
